‘A great film should make you feel something — whether it’s joy, sadness, fear, or wonder.’
Welcome to my watchlist journal, a personal record of movies, series (episodes and their pilots, and seasons reviews too).
I rate them:
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ — wow
★ ★ ★ ★ ★ — masterpiece
★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ — recommends
★ ★ ★ ★ ☆ — unexpected
★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆ — likes
★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ — meh
★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ — didn’t like
☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ — mediocre
☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ — disappointment
And tag them:
I like atmosphere and style: monochrome, Japan and anime.
Most things I watch with someone, usually my wife and/or kids. But very occasionally, I’d pick something to watch (or re-watch) alone. As it’s random, it can be disappointing.
- I don’t like watching movies in general, especially alone. Rewatching is unusual to me, but I do that sometimes, to get some ideas better.
As a grown-up man, I might mildly enjoy nudity: erotic and sex, obviously.
Instead, I prefer films to contain some storyline or some ideas. So, e.g. detectives might be enjoying to watch, even if they’re bad overall. I like time travellers and parallel universes too. I might enjoy a really poor quality schmucky mediocre shit with these combined.
I prefer European: Norwegian, German, French, Belgian, Ukrainian, British, Irish. And Asian, especially Japanese or Korean.
- Hollywood is usually a dislike. For their imperial shit, or just stupid shit for idiots, like Avengers…
Get the fuck out of here!Actually, some of them I like, but they’re still shit, you know.I like documentaries, especially about cosmos. That’s why I watch Star Wars (I like Andor and Mando)
I may write reviews.
I watch either Blu-Ray, TV, and streaming services:
I go to cinemas sometimes.
Also, you can search something here, if you feel like it.
Below is the list of works with covers, most recent first. A simplified text-only timeline is available.
Enjoy your stay.
