Casablanca (1943)

Americans giving little fucks about WWII. (And enabling WWIII in 2026.)

Casablanca (1943) Casablanca (1943)

In Casablanca, Morocco in December 1941, a cynical American expatriate meets a former lover, with unforeseen complications.

Well, my only issue with this film is the people that made a cult out of it.

The language, I like it.

The film is old, rusty even. So. Perhaps, I shouldn’t be too harsh.

I’m not a real film critic, so I can say it plainly. Pardon me for not being on a high horse with my pinky finger stretched. It’s just pathetic and miserable utter dog shit. I even asked ‘was Sofia Coppola involved?’ I’m happy to be able to say it plainly and honestly. Piece of shit. Garbage.

Only the ‘How much watch’ joke was funny. I love it, as I knew it from an anecdote about Russians, now I can refer to it as ‘a joke from Casablanca’ instead. Which I won’t, nobody’d get it. Otherwise, complete and utter waste of time.

And my eyes were damaged with this horrible picture quality. 1943, what would you want? My grandparents’ generation was being slayed by Nazis while Americans enjoyed their ‘why fight with Hitler?’ Ah, wait, they’re at it again, but this time they decided to befriend Nazis and lose their ruler of the world / world police status. But we’re certainly at it again this century, aren’t we?

Also, they smoke and drink all the fucking time. I wonder did all these losers who smoke and drink, especially those who clearly have issues with the addictions, to siggarettes and beverages, are they think that’s cool? I mean, clearly these people in Hollywood believe that looks cool what they picture. It’s just not. Not in the slightest.
