In this third season, the newly-promoted AFC Richmond faces ridicule as media predictions widely peg them as last in the Premier League and Nate, now hailed as the “wonder kid,” has gone to work for Rupert at West Ham United. In the wake of Nate’s contentious departure from Richmond, Roy Kent steps up as assistant coach, alongside Beard. Meanwhile, while Ted deals with pressures at work, he continues to wrestle with his own personal issues back home, Rebecca is focused on defeating Rupert and Keeley navigates being the boss of her own PR agency. Things seem to be falling apart both on and off the pitch, but Team Lasso is set to give it their best shot anyway.
I have not much to say about the season, it was mostly good. Knowing there’s season 4, I knew I should believe all these farewell things.
I’ve been telling my wife that this is actually a pretty interesting development of the Friends phenomenon: you can film the series like this indefinitely, and it may have viewers. Of course, the makers of the show may know better, as apparently, it’s still pretty difficult to produce the quality consistently. And hence, having just four seasons (at this point), may be quite alright.
Still, I stand by my point: you can film the series like this for like 12 seasons, easily:
- It’s funny, so positive vibes.
- Everyone’s beautiful.
- And the overall style is great, you can produce that indefinitely.
- Fashion et cetera too.
- Endless advertisments for both Nike, and all Apple’s gear.
- Imitating some famous football things.
- Everyone’s as a family, you know.
By the way, I quite don’t like the manipulation of ‘our job is our family,’ it is not, and it shouldn’t be. It’s great when the job is like a family, I agree wholeheartedly. But still, it does not equal to be a family.
